My Super Z just got a tune up at the local dealer. It seems he set the idle very high. He says it's OK like this;can I damage the engine shutting it down at such a high idle?

you should always lower your throttle before you shut it off. i don't think you could really damage anything except for maybe when the engine is really hot; which is the reason for lowering the throttle before shutting it off. when i am finished mowing a yard, i park the mower and lower the throttle and it idles until i am finished.
