Sick of it, and there's NOTHING they can do

    Hay All:

    Pick up a Burger King about a year ago, ever month there was a NEW manager, kind of Gung -HO, they want this they want that.....
    I would simply tell them get approval, then we will give a bid....
    finley one manager stayed, " down here it's all Mexicians"
    so whe wants this then she wants that, again GET APPROVAL.


    she was simply a Bi$%^, pushing for this pushing for that.
    finley we agreed I would have her sgin off proving that we have been there
    today I drive by notice my guys have done a GREAT job, I go in and then she wants to walk around and look. " NOT in the contract" But Ok.

    she points out a weed. I tell her GET APROVEL, we will control the weeds.
    the head man doesn't want to spend a nickle on the place.
    she says you have to have an approval before you can pull 1 WEED ?

    of corse me, I tell her I cant work for free. and noone I know can, and I bet you " meaning her" dont....

    so far I have been as RUDE to her as I can possably Be.
    well come to find out, NO one in town will take this Burger King.....

    I hate to take advantage of the situwation, But simply because of her..
    I think I'm going to raise the price up 100.00

    as of a month ago. one of my guys said she charged him for lunch.
    it's in our contract. WE eat for FREE when where there working...

    not much to the stroy, not really a Point. Just kind of wanted to share.

    I know this feeling, my personal favorite is neighbors coming over to start in on me about some BS that is not to their liking.

    That one tests me probably the most, few things piss me off worse than that, especially when greeting someone with a smile
    because I think they want something other than to waste my time with their negative input over work they do not pay for on a
    property they have no business dealing with.

    Yes, that's my vent :p

    It's really your mistake if you ask me. No offence but you shouldn't be talking to her. She's nobody. When she ask's or tells you anything just act like she doesn't exist. Your not doing business with the manager, your doing business with the owner.

    Bingo, she's not paying so she should stay out. I would walk around with those big earmuffs so you cant hear a dam word she says. If all else fails, raise the price so that putting up will be worth the money.

    I do agree first that I would skip the free food, I would have pulled the stupid weed,
    and then I would have told the manager to have a nice day, over and done.
    However, situations like these are rarely as simple as meets the eye,
    hence it wasn't my situation and that's probably not all there was to it.

    In cases like the one I'm talking about, it really would appear their ultimate goal is to get under my collar,
    hence pulling the weed would've just started up the next barrage of BS

    Yeah but at least the first time around folks like these don't usually come up to
    guys like me with any kind of upfront warning of what is about to come...
    Some do, but most don't.
    The better half of them come up just like any other potential customer might, I don't want to treat these folks rude
    off the bat when there's no telling them apart, but right past the friendly greeting is when they start up with it.

    That's the part that gets me, to me it feels a lot like I've been baited and I fell for it Hook, line, and sinker.
    I could swear some of them set out JUST to ruin someone else's day, the higher the rank of the other person,
    the better they can feel about their own miserable selves afterwards.

    However, I do agree in that I don't give them that final bit of satisfaction.

    Yes, now that you know.
    But they get me at least once, and in some cases that was all they wanted,
    paying real close attention some of these walk away with the biggest look of "ahhhh" on their face,
    like I done told that guy how it is.

    Makes me want to grab them by the throat, which is how that got started years ago :laugh:

    I trimmed a customer's hedges a couple of weeks ago. (Just as she instructed) Neighbor lady tells me the next day that I did not trim them short enough.

    Now I'm a pretty easy going guy, but I had trouble holding back and quickly reminded her that she was not the customer and I was not doing the job to please any neighbors.

    I though we were the only people dealing with crazy neighbors.:laugh: I have been cussed out a few times this year for our customers wanting mowed every two weeks. I had on neighbor call while we were at lunch and say we did a horrable job. We went back to see what he was talking about. There were clumps of wet grass on the sideway. The yard was wet and atleast 8 inches tall. The neighbor came out of the house and was pointing at it. I tryed to be nice then I finally asked if it was his property and he said no. So I asked why he called. He started screaming and said he was calling the city. Why I don't know. So I told him ok and if he wanted the number I have it on my phone. I think that pissed him off a little.:mad:

    I came home and found an email from a website on contractors. He wrote that if you want your yard to look like **** to call us. Then he gave us 5 stars.lol I emailed the website and explained what happened and the deleted the coment and banned him. We called the customer and cancelled service. I told them I wasn't going to deal with him every two weeks. I might do something bad :nono:
