Sides with no stake pockets?

    Hey guys any idea on how to put up some wooden sides on my truck, i dont have any stake pockets because my model dakota didnt come with any and i dont really wanna cut up my bed trying to make some myself, so if you guys have any ideas or have anything along these lines please share with me.

    You could make a frame from 2x4s that sits on the floor of the bed with uprights as high as you want your sides to be and then just put what ever sides you choose onto that.

    Are you sure the stake pockets aren't hiding under the plastic rail caps?

    My 1996 and 2000 S-10s did not have stake pockets.

    I guess I have just never paid attention and thought they all had them. I have never used the pockets on any of my trucks so maybe I should start...lol

    Perhaps something with angle iron brackets. It would require drilling into the bed.
