Simizine & Atrazine

    Whats The Difference Between Atrazine And Simizine 4l??? I Know Simazine Is Ok For Residential Lawns, And It Is A Cool Wheater Pre-emergant But Thats About All I Know. Oklahoma Bermuda Grass

    Atrazine is restricted use pesticide. That is one major difference.

    Specific to Bermudagrass, Atrazine is labeled for use only when it is completely dormant. Simazine is less harsh on the Bermuda, but it does tend to zap the color out when spraying too early in the Fall.

    can simazine be used on fescue grass.

    Lots of groundwater contamination issues with atrazine, less so with simizine

    Simazine has far less lateral soil movement than Atrazine as well as being temperature restrictive.
