    Alright a guy near me has a

    Simplicity Derby Colt 23hp Kohler 52"
    Model #2352
    52 inch
    10/5 mph
    NEW= $6699.00

    23-hp Kohler Command engines
    Two-wheel, (front) IS Independent Suspension (adjustable)
    Mower deck is 10-gauge steel with double top deck, double reinforced side skirts with lap-welded corners and baffle supports
    Mower deck floats from A-arms of front suspension
    Twin A-section hydro drive belts
    Adjustable steering levers
    Two-year commercial warranty on parts and labor

    The one he is selling has been a Demo and has 27hrs on it.
    Asking= $5000...........What do you think is acceptable for this machine? Or what price would be a very good deal for myself.

    Yes it's a good deal its the same machine as a Ferris.

    For that price you could get a new commercial mower, maybe a little more. You just need to dig a little.

    Missed the $5000.00 part, still for that money I would invest commercial.

    Auction just ended no bids.....I low balled it and offered him $4000 earlier this mourning, he said if there were no bids to call him and work out a deal

    Same companies, different markets, and there is a lot of different things under the hood. Go to a Ferris dealer, they usually carry both brands, see for yourself, check the frame, spindles, hydros, etc then comeback here and tell me again that that mower is a commercial mower, you can use it commercially, but it is not a commercial mower.
