I was wondering if anyone here grades/builds house slabs?
We do alot of slab prep work......but do it a little different than most around here, so we don't get alot of the work. I insist on compacting my fill...they cowboy it here, throw it in, grade it, pour it and hope it lasts past the one year builder warranty. I would like to think I come from place where quality is as important as is the bottom line.....
I worked for a company that built houses, did site prep, basements, etc, water, sewer, electric, phone, cable TV. That was 7 years ago.
yea we do all the grading and landscaping for several contractors
I have got some slab questions anyone new or old from this post still do slabs?
I backfill and grade them, and occasionally will build a pad. I don't prep or dig the footers though. What questions do you have?
Unbelievable. Ditto down here for driveway work. Nobody compacts around here. I do but I lose out on the bid and it's tough educating customers who only look at the bottom line.
