skid mounted compressors

    Does anyone have any experiance with the 50 and 75 cfm skid mounted compressors? like how big of a zone it will blow out without building pressure? the guy at the supply house has been talking them up. thanks

    Building pressure? Idle controls on those skid-mounts? They're more than I'd want on dinky residentials, one zone at a time.

    what i meant by building pressure was filling the main with air pressure then turning on one zone at a time and then repeat on that same zone untill all water has been blown out.

    Sure, you can employ a mainline as an air reservoir for winterizing. Heck, you could do that with a dinky truckmount compressor, given unlimited time, and air-friendly valves.
