I know this has been covered many times - customer wants a week skipped, or it was raining. Having to double cut, and charge more.

What about this. - Had to skip a week cause of rain (and all the felled trees) so this week I am cutting 1/2 - 1" higher than normal and not charging extra?

I did this with one customer and it worked really well. Lawn looks great and it was no extra work on my mower.

Normal cut is 2.75 St Augustine. Actually got a 10dollar tip from him too!

Thinking of doing it with another I have to catch up on as well.

We do it all the time,...especially if we get behind from rain.

Its a great idea. Keeps your work load down and the cut looking better. Then the next week cut lower. Only works on weekly accounts. Seems like the bi-weekly it gets up as high as it was if you cut higher than normal haha.
