While out mowing, I was turning around my truck and trailer 180 degrees, the problem came when I left the tailgate down on my Dodge Ram 1500 99, it smashed up the tailgate pretty bad, and now the locking mechanism is no longer functional. Has anyone had this problem, or any idea of where I can find a new black tailgate. I would just use the smashed up tailgate, because it stays up due to the bed cover, however I am looking to sell the truck at the end of the season. Help please...

find a junkyard or a parts truck to leech off.

i dented my bed while jackknifing my old trailer while turning around 2 weeks ago. (been a rough 2 fridays for the truck and my wallet.)

take the cheap way out...............but one of those net things that hold all your junk in but let air flow through it.
