snapdragons falling over

Any ideas for straightening up 18" snapdragons? They've been in the ground for over a week and most are leaning over, though the flowers have started turning back up. I could put the metal stakes for flowers but those are 59 cents each. I have about 70. My customer said they didn't have any wind to blow them over.

    Thanks.

make sure they are watered well. they should stand up on their own. give them another week or two.

Thanks. Is that normal? It hasn't happened to me before when I planted the same layout.

They say it is normal and can happen to any of us. It could have something to do with planting the same layout too much, like you said.

I definitely would not go the metal stake root either. I think there is some blue granular product that will help? I keep getting emails for it, but never needed it, so I don't recall the name.

Look on the bright side, you did lose your flower before this happened.

Call your tree surgeon if these stay up for more than four days.

Add a fertilizer with some potassium that will help those taller varieties stand up and... um, be more firm. It does sound like a Viagra add but not my intention. Really the potassium will help.

This is an unfortunate question. I have some water soluble Peters 20-10-20. Is that enough potassium?

:laugh::laugh::laugh: yes all puns aside the 20-10-20 should work fine just don't expect results overnight.

Sorry, sometimes I can't resist a good setup for a little fun. That was a lot of setup.
