I have a 2001 rear engine riding snapper. 8hp 30in cut. I just replaced the drive disc witch was worn out. But I still have the problem of hearing grinding noise in the rear end when shifting of braking. Doesn't sound good. Im not sure what to look for out what needs to be done, any help is appreciated..

The engine drive disc is most likely hitting the clutch yoke when you push the pedal.

Flip the unit on it's back-side and check the nylon bushings mounting the clutch yoke for wear. If they are OK check that the engine drive disc hasn't slid down on the crankshaft and now hitting the yoke when the clutch is pushed.
