Just picked up a Snapper Pro S50X and I'm happy to have it. I've got a mulch cover on the deck, but not a mulch kit.

Has anyone run the mulch kit? Is it worth it? The previous owner warned me that the mulch kits on the S50X like to leave "mohawks" on the lawn.

Running the mulch kit will leave a Mohawk. Run the cover when you need it. I side discharge with mine a lot.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully others will chime in. I'm wondering if anyone's done anything to fix the mulch kit.

I have the mulch kit you need. I ran it at different times, and it worked great when I did. I no longer have the mower, but have the complete kit. If your interested, let me know.

Any other feedback? I've got two people telling me it leaves standing grass and one saying it works great. It'd be helpful to know who is cutting what kind of grass. Personally, I'm cutting St.Aug 99% of the time.

I cut a lot of centipede. Is yours the 36 or 48 deck? Mine is the 36.

    Hi there,
I know that you wrote this almost 2 years ago, but you wouldn't still have this mulch kit, would you?
I am trying to find one for my 48" 50xt and not having much luck. Thanks!
