Okay. Slowly now. Anybody wanna hold my hand through this one?

Is the protein % of grainmeals directly proportional to N content and if so how. Or better yet where in the process does the protein become a nitrate? Slowly....Im talkin' to you treegal ; )

I'll do the quick answer with no explanation and say yes. Generally, you take the protein content %, and divide by 6.25 to get your N. So, if corn gluten has 60% protein, divide by 6.25 you get 9.23 or 9 as the first number in your N-P-K analysis.
