here is some pics from a sod job last year:
    I took before, during, after.
The homeowner killed the grass cause he was gonna do it himself, when he realized what a monster it would be he called us to do the job.

A lot of work! Did you do it all by hand?? I have done that same job many times but when possible - we set the tiller to depth with utulity tractor, then use the skid or utility tractor with bucket to peel the layers up and dump on truck. I think the hand work that is left is alot of work but you look like work period! Hope the money was good. Always like green!

the original lawn was crap. what alot of homebuilders down here in FL do is put nice st aug in the front and crap or nothing in the back. She was tired of the sand/weed lot in the back yard.

No we did not treat it, just sod cut and go.

Yard looks still good for almost 2 years later. There are some burnt spots where the dog goes out and pees. Probably bout 100 sq ft right outside the pool screen door. Dog runs out and pisses in the same spot.

Dog piss + FL sun = Dead Grass, but you cannot tell the homeowner that..
