Approximately how many square feet of sod can be removed in an hour with the average sod cutter?
To just cut sod; the average 18" Ryan Sod Cutter Junior can cut somewhere around 6-7000 sq. ft. per hour. To actually remove it: it depends on how you do it obviously. Removal by hand into a wheelbarrow ramped into a 1 or 2 ton truck should be around 90 sq. ft. per hr. This number should work ok if you are just stripping new foundation beds and don't want to trash the yard with equipment. :blob4: :blob4:
