I have a 7 pallet sod install sod is showing up monday. The problem is that the lawn that I am redoing has grass, weeds, dead grass etc. I was going to pay my friend that does all my bobcat work ( I CAN'T Afford One ) to harley rack and scrape old junk up. He has sense called and said harley is down. My question is can I just till the crap out of this lawn and rack most of the junk up and put sod down?

Show up on sunday with your tiller and go to town. Depending on how good your tiller is & how many times you go over the area you might not have to rake out the dead weeds.

I tilled and then rented a dingo to remove the junk. Not having a dump bed in my truck is killing me I could have saved 2-3 hour on this job alone. I piled it on trailer and unloaded it with dingo.
