I have about 1200 sq ft fescue i have to price out. Im new to the business and need some help with pricing. my sod cost will be about .44/sqft. I need to know what the average cost for labor should be and how long it should take to lay per pallet.

all depends ,what does the yard look like now? Do you need to prep it first or is ready to be laid down now/

    Exactly.

That would be about 3 pallets. If there is no prep work which that is never the case I would be about $500 in labor.

I would definately roll the dirt before you lay the sod and then roll the sod to make sure it has good contact with the dirt. Then water untill it soaks through on the initial watering and then water everyday for the first 2 weeks.

I usually lay down a starter fertilizer before the sod goes down as well.

    Hope that helps.

I tell customers to water twice aday for two weeks @ 17 min. Each time. During summer. Then once a day every day for one week and then normal.

Remember air kills roots so tuck you joints.
