So, just curious what you charge per roll of sod if that is indeed the correct way to bid this sort of job. I am assuming you also include an additional labor cost much the same as you would a mulch job. I have a guy who wants about 40 rolls of sod installed and I am thinking of charging him $5 per roll (my cost is 2.75) and then $25 per man hour to lay the stuff, plus any disposal fees and an hourly add on if there is dump required.
Any and all help is appreciated. Many thanks.

cost of the sod + delivery + 10% mark up then x 4 = total cost. Everyones charges differently, but this is how we figure it

Lawn-Shark, how do you determine the delivery charge? In other words, is it by the distance or do you just make a price? And what is that X4 for?

    thanks.

my guess the x4 is labor charges for 4 workers...

wow, I come up with $484, and that doesn't include your delivery charge. Either I'm way off or I'm bidding way too low.

I give the sod farm the adress and ask how much for delivery then i add that price. x4 = times 4
