I have an account that has a sodded lawn (planted about 2 years ago) The homeowner has never wanted me to apply anything to the lawn to maintain it, only mow it once a week. At this point the yard has many spots that have become matted/brown and he finally wants me to make it look good.
Here is what I am thinking....
    1.) Aerate
2.) reseed (braodcast or Slice seed?)
    3.) Fertilize

Any opinions? Should I scalp the lawn fist?
    Thanks

i would mow it as low as you could! lawns are just like hair, the more you shave, the thicker it comes back!
