I have a customer with 2 acres of ground. They want it sprayed with roundup and the old ground taken up with a sod cutter. and then fertilized and lay all new sod on 2 acres. And then water it for a month after.

I told them 60 grand. They said they are doing the paperwork to accept my price right now.

Is that too high. what do you think?

sod cut and remove two acres? Do you realize how much material that is to haul away? Why not spray it and use a rotodarion type machine to till bury and prep the ground, then sod if they want but it sounds like a hydroseed job to me. If they want sod then give them sod BUT removing all that acreage with a sod cutter will be a bear.

Take up 2 acres with a sod cutter and dispose of it all?? PLUS lay 90k square feet worth of sod on top??

If you charge 60k you will be working for free. Matter of fact you will be paying them.

How many guys do you plan on having do this? Have you ever had a job even remotely this big?

Price seems more than fair to me. Although cutting it up and hauling it off is a waste of time to me.
