How do you professinals price sodding? All input will be appreciated...
By square footage. I can't buy it as cheap as my sub lays it.
How much per square foot if its st. augustine and its sold by sq. yard? And its sold at $6.00 a sq. yard????
I'm not sure about St. Augustine. We don't have it around here. I can buy Bermuda for $.18/sq. ft. The people I have do my sod work lay it for $.20/sq. ft. For me to lay bermuda I have to charge somewhere around $.40/sq. ft. I would imagine St. augustine should be about double that.
Thank you for your professional advice. I truly do appreciate it....
I'm with Heartland, have the sod company lay it for you. In SWFL, I can buy St Augustine for $.34 sq ft and the company usually does it for me. Call around and ask how much THEY will do it for you. They are good and quick, plus bring all the supplies needed. We had a job that the owner was there and causing major chaos on the job, we ALL had to keep him happy, but it was a bear to deal with. TGIF - my husband and I picked the crew up a 12-pack for the end of the day, needless to say they want more of our jobs!
Wow that sure is a good deal on St. augustine grass. Here in tijuana it's at about .80 a sq.ft or more. Thank you for yuor adice and i'll take that 12-pack, but for me. Of coarse if you bring that to a job site I'd continue to work for you too....
