I've got a fairly decent sized job I need some help with quoting out.

Homeowner has already rented the machine to pull up his sod but would prefer we do it. What would be a competitive hourly rate to charge for this service? The lawn is around 3,500 s/f. Additionally, would I charge the same hourly rate to install the new sod as well?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

What is your normal hourly rate? The man hour rates will be different everywhere from $35-70 per man hour... depending on your overhead, what you pay your employees, how far the job is etc etc etc. I would just guesstimate how many man hours it will take... and charge them that figure... I would not tell them your hourly rate.

I would spray a week before, use a harley rake to remove old sod and prep, lay 7-8 pallets of sod(depending on your pallets being b/t 450-500 sq ft), and be done in one day w/ 2 guys. I would guess somewhere b/t 16-20 man hours depending on the site conditions.
