Not real sure what to charge per square foot for sod. Have a customer that has about 288 sq ft that needs to be sodded, only needs a little top soil and thats it

there is alot more you a successful sod job then spreading a little top soil, without proper prep, the sod will not survive...

i charge $200 a pallet for sod, that is buying and installing including labor costs. You can also buy it by the piece and 288 sq ft would be around 94-100 pieces. A usual pallet of sod is around 480-500 sq ft.

Your price is wayy low man. A pallet around here runs you from 155 to 180...if you charge 200/pallet you are getting screwed.

I charge about 1$/sqft. That covers complete kill of the area, tilling, grading and buying+laying sod.

i get it at a local sod company for $130 a pallet and charge $70 labor for installing the pallet= total of $200 pallet. Customer also pays for the rental of the sod cutter.
