People are probably tired of answering this question. Do a search of the site.

Are you looking for image editing or plan drawing?

The professional level softwares that seem the most popular amongst landscape contractors are:
    ProLandscape
    Dynascape
    Vectorworks

    amongst professional designers:
    Autocad
    Land FX
    Sketchup
    Photoshop
    Bricscad
    Dynascape
    Vectorworks

I changed to dynascape 2 months ago. So far so good. Great presentation and much more efficient than my past program. The price might be hard to swallow at first but you won't regret it once you catch on
