Ok guys I know I dont belong here all I do is cut grass and install mulch, but I'm helping out a friend with his landscaping project. So here it is on the side of his house we need to build up the grade by about a foot so the mulch/flower bed contiues around to the back yard and match's the grade. My question is do the make some thing that we shoud put between the brick of the house and the soil? Thanks for the help

Are you talking about the foundation block or are you wanting to bring the grade above a brick veneer (i.e. brick that continues up or bricks that continue down)?

water goes right through brick, it is porous and is no barrier at all. In a hurricane, horizontal rain will go through a brick veneer wall from top to bottom.
