I can send my soil samples to our ag center but there is a 5+ week turn around for the results does anyone know of a lab that does this type of work that is faster.

See if you can get soil tested through CPS/UAP. They are representatives for A & L Labs. I get a very complete result in 10 business days.

It's like $20-25. I heard you can send them to Penn state university also. Never looked into that thou.

Most outfits that sell fertilizer as a significant part of their business do handle testing. UAPs competitor in town sends soil tests to Brookside Labs. Both of those tests cost me $35 a sample, but that is small money to me when an account is a minimum of $1000 per year to me. I lose more if the account cancels me because I did not deliver results. It is hard to deliver results if I am guessing on the fertility program.

I get my testing done through MI state university.

I really push getting a test done on every property before work begins. I do charge $50+ depending on needed tests. My extension office charges me a minimum of $20 for a basic test. I do not really make any money off of this service but in the end I get results which pay 10 fold.
