For those of you who do soil tests, what are you seeing for organic matter %'s? Anyone in New England? as I was told that typically our soil, sandy loam, is 2-3% OM. I had 4.9, 5.0, and 5.9. How much can you hope to raise theses #'s? thanks Mike

Between 5% to 7% would be excellent. Often it is well below that in old established neighborhoods, we begin to see good results at 2%

I have seen 19% in some soils, this actually is a point where it starts to cause issues because the soil seem to hold water for way too long and cause anaerobic conditions. The bad guy fungi like these high SOM, wet conditions
