hey guys, we are going to be bidding on a project, and i was wondering if any of you have heard of some kind of coating for wood, like applying it to your wooden trailer deck. We are going to be rebuilding some wooden flights of stairs on the outside of hotel units. The wood steps and landings have been weathered away from ice and salt etc... They had asked us if there was some type of product to be applied to the treads and landings to prevent this and maybe add some traction. my first thought was bed liner product but i wasnt sure how that would bond with the wood, especially if the wood has any moisture in it at all.

any ideas? i thought id post this in here b/c of trailer floors.
