These are the largest rock walls I have seen to date, up on the highest peak of Eagle Mountain.

Just one of the many exciting houses:

These boulders are between 4-5 feet in size and there are even larger ones buried below:

The incredible view, even more spectacular in the sun:

Wow. I thought I had seen some big rock walls before this. All those boulders would make a small mountain themselves. Some of those looked almost vertical, or was it just the angle of the picture?

The first pics, the walls are almost 1:1, maybe more like 1.25:1, but that first wall is 100 feet to the highest point with no concrete inside, the latter pics have some concrete in the gaps, but very little.
But the last ones are all 2:1 or 2.5:1 slope.

Someone either got rich or went broke, depending on their capacity to bid properly.

Impressive work though. Thanks for the pictures.

It was all forest before the road was punched through, hence the name of the community, "Eagle Mountain", only the Eagles dare to fly there.

Nice work! I'm starting a very similar wall project on a cliff face in the next two weeks and I'm getting cold feet! Its nice to see that I wasn't selling something that wasn't "doable". Anybody got a good set of design plans w/ specs for a wall like this to give me more reassurance? By the way, I'm billing hourly for labor & equipment and cost+ for materials. I'm not experienced enough to price out work on big slopes.

MATCON did these walls, but I could be mistaken.
