Geez, it's been raining here, 43 miles from the Mexican border, since early
morning....what we've been hoping for to insure a wildflower bonanza in
Feb. & March. The plants we're always looking for are "ephemerals", meaning
annuals that only bloom when moisture is sufficient. Last wet year was in 05
when the bloom in Death Valley brought us to our knees. We heard later
some of the plants blooming that year had not been recorded for 100 years!
The air is scented with "creosote bush", a smell only desert rats appreciate.
Will post a pic when possible.

I have heard Bartlett reservoir is already 80% full and there was 8' of snow in Hannigens meadow. We are slowly but surely pulling out of this drought. Hooray Global Warming :clapping: If you haven't seen Sonoran desert wild flowers you just wouldn't believe it and its impossible to put into words. I also like the wet creasote smell, does that men I'm a rat

    That smell is glorious

Since Mike hoked up his rain sensor to his new Nikon, rendering it urrently useless, Ill take a few from home.

A bit of flodding in the backyard, its been raining pretty decent all morning.
