Do you think the 28-0-3 was sufficient to push growth through the sand?

Gulfjoe, looks good. Did you only do half of your lawn?

I've decided to change the weekend I'm gonna do mine. I'm gonna wait til the last weekend of the month since I'll be on vacation the week of July 5-13th. I won't have to have my neighbor come cut the grass that week. I'll just set the sprinklers on a timer and have my neighbor monitor them while I'm gone. Then I should come home to a lawn that's filled in somewhat.

Took some pics yesterday. Between the 85+ temps and humidity, the watering i've done, and the rainfall this weekend, my bermuda is really taking off and filling in the thin spots. Mowed at 5/8" with the Tru-cut. Put some fresh pine straw down in the backyard on Saturday so it's still pretty fluffy. I'm going to Aerate next weekend. I'll be renting two aerator's to knock out my customers' properties.

    Thanks for all the info.

I'm want to do mine in hopes of getting it really level so I can find a reel mower and make it awesome looking.

So I'm thinking of ordering some top dress mix. What is a good depth to start off with? Would it work if I dumped wheel barrow loads around the lawn, spread it out somewhat with a shovel or rake and the tied so etching to the back of my mower to drag it..

I'm looking for the easiest most efficient way to top dress around 9k. I wish my golf buddy would let me borrow their top dresser!!!

That sand I laid feels really compacted... Are we sure the grass is going to grow right through or am I just worrying to much?

You're worrying too much. Heck, I've got some of my best Bermuda growing in my asphalt driveway.

These machine's weren't meant for a home yard, but i gotta tell you, the Ty-Crop MH-400 is the daddy of all top dresser's, but for $38,000 you kind of expect that.

Look back at my post=118. Yours is no where near as covered as mine.
It will be just fine! You'll want to do it again next year:).

Oh and to address your question about the 28-0-3, I think it's just a matter of speed. The 46-0-0 probably has a higher % of fast release N.

Correct. The bag of lesco 46-0-0 I have sitting in my garage is 100% quick release.
