Does anyone take the spark arresters off their trimmers when you first get them?
Yup,especially on my Echo equipment.
Unless your in CA throw em away and forget you ever saw them.
Remove them even before first use. Better power and better fuel economy. Less power needed just to push out the exhaust gases. Oh weah, machiens also seem to run a little cooler.
...and off my edgers, and my blowers, and my hedge trimmers,......
go ahead an pull em! there good for nothin.
I remove them and drill the muffler holes a little larger too.
I wear ear (hearing) protection
No new equipment makes it out the dealers door with the screens installed.
I got a nice collection of new spark arrestor screens in a drawer, Unless you live in a high fire risk area i would take them off.
trash it you wont need it
