Speed up kit for Stander

    Anyone here of these?? What does it entail - larger pulleys?? My dealer says he can install for approx $100.00 Sounds okay - just crious to see if anyone has one.

    What do you want to speed up???? The blade speed or ground speed. Most pumps that I know of are all meant to run at about 3,600, so you will lose life if you speed the pumps up for ground speed. However, Standers have two speed settings, the older ones had three. Are you sure you are all the out on the pump arm linkage. I don't own a Stander, but with a top speed of 8, I don't think you can mow any faster and give good lines and a good cut.
    Also, If you want more speed to go between jobs, this will make everything more sensitive and make close trimming work more difficult.
