First of all, I am studying for my license and will be taking the test in February. I have been ask to bid on maintenance and weed and feed for a berm in front of a subdivision next year. It was built in the last two years. There seems to be very few weeds if any right now. My question is: What are the opinions regarding spot spraying versus spraying the entire berm (1.4 acres) for weeds. I have heard some converstion on this recently and wanted to know your opinions. Thanks guys.

I would blanket the area the 1st time you spray it, then you can spot spray after you get the weeds under control and the turf thickened up.

See what the weeds look like when you are ready to spray. No need to blanket if there are no weeds. Part of being responsible is not only knowing what, when, and how much to put down, but where to put down as well.
