What do you guys recommend? Msm at 1 oz per acre? Celcius at medium rate? Atrazine at 43 oz per acre?

Never understood why someone would overseed a residential lawn.

Sprayed one with Celsius at medium rate and non ionic surfactant a few weeks ago. Checked on it last week and it's dying out nicely. Mso would have been more effective but I had some broad leafs to spray too so I just used the surfactant.

I hear ya on the overseeing. The guys wife wanted to do it. He said he'll never do it again.

I've been using .3 oz/acre of msm with li700 and some 32-0-0 uan solution. It takes a couple weeks, but it works. I think the label on msm says .1 oz/acre for ryegrass. At .3 or more, it should clean up a lot of the other broadleafs. Our bermuda has been slow to get going, do to the cold weater.

Revolver is great but pricey. That is what most of the sports fields and golf courses use.

What are the disadvantages besides a slower green up for the Bermuda. I do several each fall and the customers couldn't be happier. The lawn is slowly starting to thin but the Bermuda is actively growing. I won't use annual BC it looks like crap in my mind.

If you have a long cool spring and early summer and you do not spray, by the time the good turf type rye burns off it will take awhile for the bermuda to fill back in. I have seen a few several years ago when the conditions were right that it was the next summer before the bermuda filled back in.

It will cause the Bermuda to thin out. We. I started I did a few and the thatch created by spring growth of rye smothers the Bermuda as it is coming out of dormancy.

So of what I have on hand .... Celcius or msm? I hate to go buy revolver for 12k!! Wish katana would get labeled for residential m

Will you be needing the Celsius for grassy weeds later in the year? If so, MSM. Katana is not cheap. $100 per oz and up to 3 oz per acre.

Will not need another application. This is a one time spray and he's not signed up for any applications.
