I was wondering if any one could tell me the best way to remove the spring in the back that connects to the tension pulley on the drive belt? I brooke a belt and that pulley slamed into the fan on the bottom of my hydro pump and I need to take that fan off to fix it. However I can't figure the easiest way to get that spring off.

Your spring just sits in the notch on the idler arm and the anchor.
I dont understand what your saying about not being able to remove it.
    Please explain.
