I'm in West Michigan, temps are finally reaching 40-50f during the day, but the snow's still melting.

Good amount of dead grass on top, should the first cut be bagged? What conditions are appropriate for the first pre-emergant treatment?

I aerated in the fall and the holes are still pretty evident, but we haven't gotten any spring rains yet.

CG germinates according to soilo temp and opportunity of open soil spots more than anything else... this part of Wisco doesn't see CG until June sometime at the earliest...

It is best to watch and observe... I believe people should sow grass seed b4 the Pre-m , but it is best to learn that for yourself... I am not in the system, so I will always be outnumbered... :)
