Hello, Thought I would Ask AGAIN Does anyone else out ther do lawn rolling in the spring. Here in NY with the frost and plowing damage and the ground moving and feet prints in ground :make for rough ridding if you dont roll lawn?
Would You Roll first then do core aeration and spring seeding? Any ideas?
  2. Even for the reason you stated, I would be dead set against rolling an established lawn as it cause compaction. Then again, I don't have to deal with your situation because I don't get snow.

With that said, if you must, roll first. Then core aerate. If you wish, over seed.

Aerating will help relieve the compaction caused by the roller. The holes from aerating, will give the seed some protection so it can germinate.
