Here's a link that will help those that are interested in understanding the benefits of having the "Sprinkler Buddy" installed to their sprinkler heads. I also show similar products that are found on the market today here in FL. See how the Sprinkler Buddy can greatly reduce accidental damage to the lawn sprinkler heads like none of its competitors products can.
This is an amateur video my wife had took of me in our neighbors yard, so please excuse the quality of the video which was taken with our home use camera.

Thank you for your support! RyRo, Inc. "Home of the Sprinkler Buddy"
I never thought about bridges all that much. No question they make a difference. (I'm still wondering where the bridge is in "You Put the Lime in the Coconut")
"Doctor, doctor, is there nothing I can take? "Harry was a genius with short bridges. One of the best was Simon and Garfunkel:
"it took me four days to hitch hike from Saginaw, I'm bound to look for America".
Not enough credit goes to Roy Halee, a Columbia Records engineer, who was responsible for the soaring entries into bridges and the elevator echo drum sounds. I wish I'd met him, as well as Rudy Van Gelder in Englewood Cliffs.
Sales have doubled compared to last year but they have slowed due to the time of year for now. Looking forward to see if they double again next year as they have the last 3 yrs. Molds, patent, etc... are very expensive so I have a ways to go yet but I'm thankful it has been heading in the right direction.
I don't personally look at my product as "up selling". Those that have to replace a few sprinkler heads due to accidental damage caused from mower tires each year, ends up costing them much more than the Sprinkler Buddy. It has saved me money in my lawn service because I personally often paid out of my own pocket to replace the damaged head.

The cement donuts have been around here in FL for many years. They haven't slowed repairs. Many don't care for the look and HOA's think the lawn guys pays for repairs. lol
Plenty of room in this world for us booth to make a living. I won't be putting anyone out of business I promise. :usflag:
For the most part, it has been homeowners that do their own repairs buying my product. I'll be happy if that remains to be the case. Plenty of them out there.
You might try marketing to Landscape Architects (LA). They have less concern for the $$$ because all they are being paid to do is design a system and spec all the parts.
If a LA specs it everyone bidding the job will price accordingly to install it. Get a few LA firms on board and you will start selling thousands. This is bc if it is spec'd on the plans it MUST be installed.
I don't want to knock the guy but he is also pushing his product on professionals with a lot of us not really ' liking change '. I understand he wants to sell his product but I have a feeling he's not going to get sells here and the whole ' bump ' tactic is lame..
I read his FAQ which answered a few of my ? but still..
Installing at the proper grade with annual inspection would be better
Eventually the UV protection will be out and that cute green thing will oxidize and turn into a ugly puke green thing. Just like all plastics in the sun
Eventually- unless someone is anal enough dirt will fill into it just like how dirt finds to fill it's way into all cracks outside.. this will make the shine of the unit go away making it much less appealing. Additionally grass clippings will eventually fill it up too. I'm that anal guy who would have to go clean these things- another stress I would have to deal with .
I also see grass around the sides of it growing long over the top of the cone that the mower won't grab... To me this would be ugly.. Which then means you must weed wack/ edge every one .. Then in turn it beats up the buddy unit from
I'm sure it works fine for a few years then fizzles out
It's not. It's a gimmick. Weekend Joe the homeowner may think it's awesome but I can't see any professional installing it. If a head is properly specified, installed and backfilled to begin with there should be no issues with a lawnmower driving over it. We mow 750K square feet of turf a week with no problems with the mowers driving over the heads.
My product does require some maintenance, just less of it than any other like product of its kind found on the market. Here in FL, we use swing joints, etc... but the sprinkler heads are still prone to accidental damage caused from the mower tires.
"I don't want to knock the guy but he is also pushing his product on professionals with a lot of us not really ' liking change '."
I'm not here to push it on you professionals, many homeowners visit this forum by accident through doing searches on Google, etc... That is who I'm targeting here on this forum. You couldn't be more correct saying most professionals not really "liking change."
As a lawn care professional myself I have spent many years dodging yard art, solar lights, plants, etc... that the homeowner would put in their lawn to their liking without my knowledge. Most of the time I would see them before mowing them over. That is because I could see them.
The sprinkler heads I had damaged or been accused of damaging in the past, I couldn't see. Since I have been putting my product on those sprinkler heads in troubled locations due to ground conditions, etc... I have been able to avoid them with my mower tires or mower deck in some situations.
I have come across many that love my product and also many that feel the same as many of you that hate the idea. Either way one feels is OK with me, it's here for those that want it or want to try it. Many of those that have tried it had reordered. That tells me they really like what they see after trying it.
I'm not trying to start a confrontation, I'm simply stating the facts. This is a very inexpensive product considering what we pay for many of the rotary heads on the market today. For less than $3.00 a sprinkler head, one can keep them visible with little maintenance and hopefully avoid running them over with the mower tires because they can see them if they are looking for them. Without my product, that isn't possible.
I bump my thread because I'm a paying sponsor and I need to make the most out of my advertising dollars. I'm not trying to aggravate the members here. Many other things I would rather be doing but for now this is one of the many avenues I'm using to get my name out there. Please respect and understand that even if you don't approve of what I have here. Thank You! Leo
I can also tell you that problems with broken sprinkler heads isn't just a FL issue. I have sent Sprinkler Buddy packs out to every one of the states all of you guys are from in this thread. I suspect they are being used on sprinkler heads for the most part. lol I have had a few use them for other reasons too.
If you are trying to rely on this site as your source of advertising to homeowners then that is a misguided effort. Pay somebody to do some SEO for your website and you'll probably do much better. Posted via Mobile Device
I have done and use many different methods. It's not an easy thing for a small company with one product to get an unknown product known across the USA.
Many of you professionals I'm sure can imagine what I'm trying to do and will do!
You know how hard it was or is to get your message out just locally in the area you work, by the many threads on this forum concerning that very topic I know you do.
lol I'll be gone before long. Until then just ignore this thread, life is to short to let it bother you or anyone else for that matter. I'm sure I would like most of you guys if we knew each other and I'm sure many of you would rib me about my product non-stop even after I retire from mowing grass because of it.*trucewhiteflag*
In my 4 years being on the forum I think you are the first to push your product. Good luck I'm just expressing my opinion
I guess it's regional. I've never seen any of the products on the video you had. The only protector I've ever seen is larger PVC or ABS around the head.

Thanks, It's a regional thing here in FL mostly for the simple fact that my competitors products don't hold up to well in colder climates. Mine does!
Here in FL, this kind of product is found in every box store and just about every hardware store. The box stores usually carry 2-3 different like products. They sell them by the thousands each year here. I know for a fact that a Lowe's not far from me had sold over 20,000 concrete donuts in their location in a single year. I out sold all of my competitors products combined 10x over each day I pitched my product in different locations in FL. Not being a stock item, my product had to leave the store when I did each day I was their. I was running through my inventory quick but not making any $$$ selling in one Lowe's location at a time and not being able to leave my product when I moved to a different location to show they would sell there too. Traveling and lodging, I was only breaking even.
This is much bigger than most of you realize. I know for a fact my product will sell big as it gets known over time. My best day in Lowe's, I sold $650.00 worth in one day. That is why I'm pushing my own product, the big box store will make it a stock item one day or I'll get the word out myself no matter how long it takes me through my own website. My patent is fresh so I have some time to do so.
This isn't a gimmick or joke. My sales and reorders prove that despite what some here may think of it. The Lowe's manager that got me in the back door didn't think it was a joke and my sales in Lowe's were mind blowing. He's still trying to get my product through corporate. I have had 3 different district managers try to get it through corporate also with no success. Lowe's is so big, I think they just don't want to deal with a little guy like me. So this little guy isn't waiting on them to act. If they give me a call one day fine, if not, I'll still make it. Can you tell I'm determined just a little. lol If this doesn't open your eyes, nothing will. I cropped this photo, so no one was in it but I. Don't need no law suits. lol Come visit me and I'll show you photos with a crowd around my little set up in Lowe's. :usflag:
