I couldn't belive this but check out http://www.johndeerelandscapes.com/Products/PDF/ToolOrderForm.pdf

We tried a couple of Spyker 288's this past season, and now ALL of my employees want one. Every one of my guys say, "LESCO spreaders suck compared to the Spyker 288".

We currently have four 288's, but at this price, it's clear to me that we'll buy at least four more.

So why the cheaper price through John Deere???

When you click the above link, you will also see JDL also sells Earthway & LESCO spreaders, but Spyker 288 spreaders rule -- big time.

    rscvp, thanks.

I could not get link to work. Could not find any spreaders on JDL website. I tried to view the "Custom Turf Fertilizer program" for my mothers house--ho hum--nothing special there. If you put the fert down when they suggest--it might have to melt through the snow. The Lesco people have more expertise--it seems to me. I hope they keep the skilled and knowledgable people.

Thanks Elite.........best price I ever paid for a Spyker 288 was over $100 more. Now JD offers it for much less??? Weird. Maybe JD Landscapes will offer fert prices at the old LESCO prices?:dizzy:

That is an excellent price on a spreader american. I noticed on that same equip order sheet that the Lesco 80# was $289. I just got quoted $379 at Lesco the other day. I wonder what's up. Surely those prices aren't misprints. Any thoughts???

Not sure, but I'm planning on ordering more 288's at that price. It is weird for sure.

I sure would like to try out one of those Spykers Larry. I wanna see what all the fuss is about. I sure love my Anderson SR2000, but if the Spyker you mentioned is that much better, I'm open to a switch. I wonder if my local JD Landscapes would have those, so I could go check them out?

    American,

Any updates on this? No one at JD in Illinois knows any thing about it. Perhaps it was put on there in error. Now the link does not work.

Dan: I started questioning my Lesco dealer. They did a lot of phone calling, emailing, etc. I was told that it was a regional thing, "That's not what the site said" I told them that it said ALL Current Customers. Well, I finally got a spreader at the price. I think they made a BIG FLUB and removed the promotion. Spreaders with 25% off is almost unheard of. Push them. Take your form to them if you printed one before they pulled the link.
