    Hello all,

I have a few of my 25 lawns that have runners growing all over. Since I am cutting at 3 inches, most of the runners left are growing below 3 inches, at about 2 inches. What do you all do about these? Changing cutting direction doesn't get them, either.

Sounds like a Mega thatch build up.. I have a property like this as well, I cut it @ 3.25" and still have a few runners that "lay on top".. I usually just stop over the area ( this lawn doesn't have too many now, I aerated it earlier this season, but it still needs help).. And the mower will suck up the runner and chop it off..
But it does sound like a serious thatch build up..Is this the case?? Like walkin' on a sponge?? St.Aug is the King of thatch..

This also happens if you dont cut down in early spring almost scalping it.
