I was wondering what the States or counties requirements are for Baltimore County, Maryland. I am interested in getting started in lawn care. I do not want to do anything besides cut grass, trim, and leaf removal. I was wondering what all it takes to get started completly legit so I don't have any problems. Or if anyone knows who I could contact to receive this information? Thank You.

    For Maryland,

you are considered a service business, therefore, you do not require a business license. You do however need to register your companys' name. If your a solo, you need to fill out a personal propery form. The link for both places is here http://www.dat.state.md.us/sdatweb/charter.html. I live in western Maryland, so if Baltimore has any special requirements I do not know about them. I want to get me applicators license, so I am still trying to figure exactly what I got to do to get my MHIC number. Hope this helps.
