Too much dew around here most times.

I start at 9 or so. If I start earlier, I waste too much time scraping wet gunk off the underside of the decks.

It might just be these Scag mower decks though.

We do residential and like to show up at the first property at 8am. If I did commercial in an area I wouldn't be waking people up I would be happy to start at 6am.

I try to hit the first residentials at 8am, if I have commercial I leave early enough to do one or two first then residential about 8.

9:00 am always dew on grass and cool in the morning. No fun to have wet feet first thing in the morning.

Indeed. That's why I'm always puzzled by claims of not mowing wet grass.
I have jobs that are still covered in heavy dew at noon.
I keep several pair of shoes on hand just in case.

On topic: I start when I start.
Usually 9am. I don't think I've ever started before 8:30am - maybe 8am a few times now that I think of it, but generally by 9.
Partly because it can be rude to start too early depending on where you are, but mostly because I'm not a morning person. ;)

If i have a jam packed day its 7am. Regular day is around 8:15-8:30.

But some mornings i am also doing estimates, repairs, maintenance, or loading and unloading at the dump- mulch supply...

Leave the house between 9-10 depending on what's going on for the day.
