starting...

    what's the very first thing to look into in the very beginning? equipment,insurance,accounts? I welcome any responses.

    Equipment is always first, without it you won't need the insurance and you definitley won't have any customers.

    the classic chicken or the egg....

    how do you afford equipment without clients?
    how do you have clients without equipment?

    I agree with EastPro. Go with your basic equipment first (mower, blower, trimmer)

    I would focus on residential lots. Start out doing it part-time to see if you like it and build it slowly...getting bigger and better equipment as you go.

    thank you for the response, i do have the equipment, and i'm working on a client base. the question now is, where can i find info about taxes, write-offs, and other small business necessities.
