I purchased an aluminum head for my Stihl trimmer (Kombi) and it allows me to have four strings coming out of it. I got a spool of the .140 line and use it exclusively for edging. It trenches extremely well!!

Are they pre-cut lengths or can you bump-feed?

I've not yet had the chance to try out any of Stihl's trimmer line, but I do want to try some .105 X line.

Why are you looking at such a large diameter? are you running anything larger than the FC 85? if not then I'd look into .095line and not .130line.

My dad has always run .130 line. Only have to pull line out one time per property. I run with trimcut head(manual feed).

I use Stihl .130 with Redmax brushcutter. Good for Katrina lots if weeds have not had a chance to turn woody close to the ground. Fast. Tears thru ordinary weeds.
