comparing the ms 362 and the ms 260 pro. Can anyone give me a recommendation as to which saw to buy and why??? also, if anyone has the price on these saws that would be great! Thanks in advance!

i would definitely go with the 362. you gain over 1hp more and only 3lbs. We own 2 ms290s with 20" bars and an ms460 with a 25" bar. the 460 absolutely rips through wood, that power is key.

as for prices, there usually wont be too much variance in price between dealers as stihl sets pretty rigid pricing structures. so at most you might be able to save 50 bucks which for me wouldnt be worth sacrificing dealer support.

yes, you can see prices on their site. i have a ms390 and my uncle has a 260 pro. 390 is cheaper i think, but whatever you choose stihl makes an excellent saw.

I've got a 260, and don't like it. Have run the 360's before, and they are good. As for the 362 I have no knowledge on it performance wise. I'd say that for a 260 you're talking about $500, and the 360 would be around $600 - $700.
