We were out on a job yesterday and one of the guys changed the plug in my stihl f544 with a used one. So i shrugged my shoulders and tried putting in a new one to find out he striped it. So i cant even put a new plug in it anyone no of a simple fix or do i have to replace the head. thanks guys, justin

Replace the cylinder. Trying to rethread with helicoil inserts is difficult to do on cyl. that have the plug at an angle. I have on been sucessful on those with the plug straight up in the top of the cyl. You could take the cyl. off to a shop to have them rethread if they have the proper setup. But since you need to remove the cyl. to do this save your time and money by just getting a new cyl and gasket. Tell your employee's to finger tighten plugs before wrenching them.. Saves money.
