I have an old Stihl FS 62 string trimmer with a lack of power. I have replaced the spark plug, cleaned and re-built the carb, changed the fuel filter and cleaned the flame arrestor in the muffler. The unit runs fine at low speed. Any suggestions on what to look at next?

You checked the antispark screen but did you remove the muffler and check the eshaust port? While you have the muffler off, check for any jug/piston galling as well as carbon stuck ring(s). Check to make sure the compression is above 100 psi. If you have a high and low speed needle adjustments, start at 1 1/4 ti 1 1/2 turns open from full closed.

I'm assuming you hooked up the throttle wire to the carb after the rebuild.
Were you careful to replace carb gaskets/diagphrams in the order they came off? Was the interior fuel screen clean?

    Just some thoughts.
