The motor is fairly clean and the plug makes it look real new, so i believe i got a good freebie! But i was wandering yalls thoughts on them? I like it almost as good as my shindy!! So comments?

    very good unit
where does it have fs80 at?
    on the starter housing or
on the front of the power head near the top
this will give an idea how old it is.

Great trimmer, for about $25.00 you can upgrade to the solid shaft that the FS85's have.

It will serve you well if it is in running condition.
I would spend the couple bucks to upgrade to the solid drive, the cable drive is just a tad sloppy for me..................

the drive shaft is about $30 and is a good idea

you will then have an fs 85
    and can run attachments

I've loved mine for 2 years since it was new. I may soon put the shaft in just to see what all the hype is about but i'm completely happy with it the way it is. lots of power!!!!

I have an FS 80 and have had it for a few years now. Great running machine. Very smooth jus the way it is. A buddy of mine has an 85 and i prefer mine much more than his. His feels heavy and akward.

I just found that same information out today about converting to a solid steel shaft and can run attachments. I think i am going to purchase a new 85 as a backup that can run the attachments. I am sure it i convert it over something will go wrong and i will be needing it.

Good luck with your new toy.
    Its been good to me.
