I'm selling one of my stihl fs85s. It's really a fs80 with a steel shaft in it because they stopped making the 85. It is from last year around summer. I payed $350 after I put in the brand new steel shaft. Want $300 obo. Great trimmer just want to try a redmax 2601 and don't need three trimmers.

Here's a pic. It's the one that looks dirty. The other is brand new. And since then I put the guard back on and maintained it.

Why did you change the shaft?

Because it had a cable shaft. The steel shaft is solid and gives better performance in thicker grass and can take attachments.
